He began by modelling the scheme digitally in 3D, then brought it to life with this impressive physical model — great work!

….Good news for people who were getting bored the arguments about whether or not to re-introduce cars to Broad Street; in an effort to re-wild St Helier, the main road is to be dug up and grassed over and a local dairy farmer has just been given a 9-year lease to graze his Jersey cattle there. This resonates with the centuries old tradition of bringing Jersey cows into St Helier and its Harbour, ready for exporting worldwide. Cattle in Broad Street is the first of several planned moves to reconnect town with nature….
Great News! The Elizabeth Harbour Redevelopment – Great News! The Elizabeth Harbour Redevelopment – St Helier Harbour Masterplan has been shortlisted for the Planning Awards in the Placemaking category for Promoting Economic Growth.

‘The St Helier Harbour Master Plan is a transformative regeneration project led by Ports of Jersey to modernise the island’s vital maritime hub. Covering approximately nine hectares, the plan addresses aging infrastructure, enhancing passenger and freight operations while fostering a vibrant cultural and tourism destination. Key proposals include a new passenger terminal, reconfigured freight facilities, and expanded public spaces, improving connectivity between St Helier and the waterfront. This submission will outline the proposals for the first phase redeveloping Elizabeth Harbour and their importance to the port’s long-term viability and Jersey’s economic growth, while delivering significant social and environmental benefits in line with the Port of Jersey’s 2030 net zero target.’
Over the last 2 weeks, Trident student Alex has ex Over the last 2 weeks, Trident student Alex has experienced what it is like to be an architect working in our office, using 3D software, physical modelling, and even digital sketching. The work Alex produced was brilliant.

…At the other end of the scale, it’s great to have …At the other end of the scale, it’s great to have got Commended in the Jersey Design Awards for the frontage of this small development in St Aubins, in the Best Placemaking category. The judges valued how the contemporary contextual design enhanced the public realm and could be enjoyed by passers-by. Inspired by St Aubin’s rich maritime industrial heritage, the asymmetrical façade design is a mixture of granite, robust steelwork and malleable more playful steelwork- which doodle wave-forms across the garage doors and railings. A gentle reminder of ‘place’….
Delighted that The Limes won the only Design Award Delighted that The Limes won the only Design Award for affordable homes with a ‘Highly Commended’ in the Best Large-Scale New Build Development category. The judges focussed on how effectively the 3-dimensional building form is composed, the successful relationship with Jersey context and neighbourhood, its character and identity, the materials chosen, and the small but important details and the wider community benefits…
Congratulations Bruno for being the stalwart of ru Congratulations Bruno for being the stalwart of running and gaining the old man’s 2nd place yesterday, coming 6th Overall, alongside a fantastic performance by Jack Lutz, completing on his first marathon with a negative split and 43rd overall.

Waddington Architect’s wish all the best to Bruno Waddington Architect’s wish all the best to Bruno Francisco and Jack lutz running the jersey marathon 26.2 miles this Sunday. Penny Francisco being sensible doing 26km not quite the same -  but good effort all the same
Sneak peak! We have been fortunate enough to have Sneak peak! We have been fortunate enough to have been working behind the scenes in preparation for a very special guest to showcase Jersey’s decarbonisation programme to becoming a more sustainable island. Exhibition construction starts tomorrow ready for the Royal visit on the 15th July.
