^{Our design approach, takes its cue from the 1930’s architectural style of Grayson and the ‘original’ Inn on the Park, rather than responding to the traditional gabled forms, and rather bland appearance, of the Grande Hotel across from People’s Park.}

^{The challenge for us was to replace an existing building with strong nostalgic associations for many Islanders with a suitable, dignified new one.}

^{The strong curved towers with strip glazing are both sculptural and dramatic, and we hope create a calm, refined modernist building, set within a landscape that evokes its seaside setting.}
