Over a number of years, the hotel has undertaken an extensive refurbishment to the existing hotel bedrooms. The works to each room, include installing new timber flooring, new furniture and fittings, installation of a new lighting control system and the complete redecoration and upgrade of bathrooms. Waddington Interiors carried out the design and oversaw the works onsite, including liaising with individual suppliers.
We were also commissioned to refurbish the garden wing corridor, which houses the hotel’s studios and suites. Inspiration for the materials and colour palette was taken from the hotel and its natural surroundings. We brightened up the long and windowless corridor by painting the walls a lighter colour and installing bright lighting. New wall mouldings and wall lights, along with console tables, helped to visually break up the length of the corridor and add rhythm and interest.
