Waddington Interiors were asked to design a new build fit out for a team of local doctors, amalgamating three existing Jersey practices into a single medical centre, aspiring to provide a standout service for the Island’s community. The design was not conventional, but hinted towards the unexpected, with vibrant colours and shapes to lift the pragmatic clinical backdrop. Bespoke joinery, including the consultancy furniture, and integrating medical equipment into the design and helped ensured the completed spaces were both stylish and functional. The interior layout maximised the distribution of natural light through high level acoustically sealed glazing, whilst waiting spaces considered patient flow and privacy to and after consultation. Our people-centred and informal design approach helped make this project a great success with our clients, patients and the public alike.
