<sub>Our brief was to extensively retain and refurbish the existing main house, whilst subdividing and renovating the adjoining dower and barn buildings, and there were unattractive modern buildings in the centre of the site which were demolished.

The building along the eastern boundary, formerly storage outbuildings for the farm were also to be subdivided and extended into 2no 4-bedroom residential units.

Great care was taken to preserve the best historic features, and deal with car parking sensitively. Attention to traditional detailing externally was paramount, with the use of pink granite, natural slate roofing and dual coloured painted timber windows. However, internally the accommodation is built to the highest standards with modern finishes and bright contemporary spaces. Environmentally, heating is underfloor and air-source heat pumps provide sustainable energy-efficiency.</sub>
